Goal Setting Guide

Set goals you can actually hit.  Aim to hit your target 3 out of 4 weeks to build a sense of achievement and momentum.

Look Back at Last Week

  • KPIs (appointments booked, deals closed, new customers, how much you're spending to get customers, etc.)

  • Money (cash in the bank, profit and loss)

  • Big picture stuff (What worked? What bombed? Any wins or losses? What should you do more or less?)

  • Self-check: Think about yourself. Why are you doing this? Express gratitude. How can you level up? Who do you need to become to crush your goals? How can you be a better leader?

Pick Your Weekly Goal

  • Spend 5-10 minutes choosing ONE main goal for next week. Don't overthink it or try to do a million things. Just ONE clear goal for your whole crew.

  • Make it super clear (like "get 5 new clients"), not wishy-washy (like "I'm gonna work harder").

  • Pick something you're pretty sure you can do about 75% of the time. If you're hitting your weekly goal 3 out of 4 weeks, you're on the right track. This helps you and your team get used to winning and actually reaching your goals.

Weekend Plan A: Deep Dive
If you're feeling productive after doing the above, you could use the weekend for the big brain stuff. Work on important projects that aren't on fire right now. Stuff that'll really move the needle for your business but needs hours of focus without interruptions.

This includes things like setting up your systems or getting your client info organized. Use this time for the big picture stuff.

Weekend Plan B: Relax and Recharge
Weekends are also perfect for doing absolutely nothing.

No work. Just recharging the batteries.

Despite what the "hustle 24/7" crowd says, this is actually one of the best ways to get ready for the week. Remember, sometimes you have to take one step back to take three steps forward. This game's a marathon, not a sprint.

And don't forget to catch some sleep on the weekend.
